Paceño (La Paz native) Manuel Bobadilla has been keeping diners happy for more than ten years, and describes himself as the owner, the dishwasher, and the cleaning lady.

It’s this sense of humor and attention to detail that make Villa Serena Restaurant popular for consistently good food, service, and a tropical atmosphere that’s both welcoming and relaxing. In all these years, I have never had a poor meal or service.

The food is Mexican without pretensions, with a great Lobster special for only $19.99. Portions are generous, the drinks are well mixed, and there’s even live music playing from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm from Wednesdays to Sundays that’s low enough to talk over, yet loud enough to enjoy.
