3:00 PM MDT - Forecast Advisory 7 - 22 October 2006
The center of Tropical Storm Paul, at 3:00 pm MDT, was located near 15.9 N and 110.7 W and heading west-northwest or 290 degrees at 7 kt., approximately 450 miles south of Los Cabos. Estimated central barometric pressure is 994 MB. Maximum sustained winds are at 55 kt with gusts to 65 kt.
The current projected path will bring Tropical Storm Paul near Los Cabos early Tuesday morning to mid day. Tropical Storm Paul i s intensifying but currently is not projected to become a major hurricane. Storm precautions would be advisable for late Monday and Tuesday until this storm has past. The National Weather Services advised the "interests in Southern Baja California and Nortwestern Mexico should monitor the progress of Paul".
